Bringing in a more casual tone, I was browsing around the web this week on some fresh news and here are my top 3 finds that are Retail-related. Some of these might be something you saw years ago, but it's always nice to re-watch something extraordinary and have it refreshed in your brain, don't you agree?
Alright, this video is old but the content is far from old. Devora Rogers may have presented this case back in 2013, but her revelations still apply to today's retail world. Rogers mentions that "shopping is decision making," and pushes that thought to "how to make someone say "yes."" Her insights revolve around the way customers think, what their values are, and how to use modern technology to enhance not just customer experience but your business. Watch how she used research to figure out how your customers shop (or "make decisions" as Rogers would say).

Apple has released news of its fifth retail store in Hong Kong next Thursday, June 30th 2016. It'll be in New Town Plaza shopping mall at 18 Sha Tin Centre Street, so if you're around that area and need a new phone or a genius to help you fix your Apple product, get your belongings ready for Thursday!

McDonald's US President, Mike Andres, has released a statement saying that a more secure loyalty program will find its way back to McDonald's by 2017, this time on mobile. But unfortunately, this news seems to only pertain to the US for now, but hopefully they'll expand it to Asia. For now, what do you think is going to be our rewards for getting that Big Mac + Double Cheeseburger?
Stay tuned for next week's retail news - they'll hopefully be a lot more entertaining than this week's!
